DT post -IQC #30 - Under the sea

Hello everyone,
Today i am here to present you all my DT work on the theme "Under the sea"

I have tried to bring the "under the sea" view over a quilled Jhumka as my work.
Here it is...

About this work:

I have used 5 mm white quilling strips 8 in numbers to make the dome.
The dome is then painted using sea blue acrylic colour using a flat brush.
all other elements found in the bottom level of an ocean are then included one by one using few other acrylic colours. Finally some fishes in yellow, swimming here and there, were painted and the piece is completed. Asian paints clear varnish has been used to wash proof it after letting the dome dry.
It is then converted to a wearable jewellery by including pins, bead caps , crystals and studs.

With few more days left to particpate in the contest , hope this piece of work would help to tap your creative brain a bit more and give us some outstanding piece to win our challenge.
Plz click here to view the challenge details and link your projects following the rules properly to avoid disqualification.

Cheers,
Aparna Balakrishnan(DT)

DT inspiration challenge#30- under the sea

Hey everyone
Today it's my turn to share the inspiration post for this month's theme- under the sea.
So it seems that I am.surrounded by fishes and mermaids these days. On 10th we celebrated my daughter's 5th birthday and theme was the little mermaid. I made a lot of props to go with the theme. And for this month's theme I have made an under the sea wall art. I have made orange goldfish and some ferns. The background I colored lightly using watercolor pencils. I have added a few shells to add some drama. I hope you all will like my post and will participate in Our ongoing challenge.
